Tenement House Quarter

The "Kwartał Kamienic" complex, located at the intersection of Szeroka, Świętojańska, and Tandety Streets, is a modern mixed-use development situated in the very heart of Gdańsk's Main City. The project features a perimeter block layout with an internal courtyard, active ground-floor retail spaces, and premium apartments on the upper floors, creating a vibrant urban environment with approximately 80 residential units, 10 commercial premises, and a two-story underground garage.

A key element of this project is the meticulous selection of facade and roofing materials. The facades feature RHEINZINK pre-patinated surfaces, expertly crafted using panel and flat lock tiles technology. This choice allowed for the precise alignment of the facade’s division, rhythm, and scale with the historical urban fabric of the Old Town. The subtle, muted gray tone of the pre-patinated titanium zinc harmonizes with the surrounding brickwork and traditional roofs, while simultaneously giving the development a contemporary, high-end character.

In such a demanding seaside location, titanium zinc details serve as a "bridge" between the modern and the historic. The RHEINZINK panel and flat lock tiles systems, combined with custom-engineered flashings and a continuous drainage system, ensure not only a cohesive aesthetic but also exceptional durability against wind, humidity, and salinity. Consequently, "Kwartał Kamienic" integrates into the Gdańsk skyline in a modern way that remains deeply respectful of its historical context.
